formating takes nothing away from content.

However, it is much easier to read a long text on screen when it is visually broken up into smaller pieces.

I just wanted to read your text about Mercury in Pisces but gave up halfway through. I wear glasses and it is difficult to manouevre along the lines...

Writing only fulfills its purpose when people read it.
