Dear Patrick, I honestly believe that social change can only be achieved through individual development and realising the concept of unconditional love in our everyday experience.

That means constant awareness of thought processes and feelings and the interaction between both. Activism for social change is a dead end street looking for things to be remedied in the outside world of material experiences while neglecting the more important inner truth of life.

By the way, I have lived more than two decades in India and have become the victim of racism because of my white skin colour. My son had to endure constant bullying in school because of his skin colour.

Now, I do not feel as a victim because I chose to live there. However, my son still deals with the violence he experienced there. Had I known this beforehand, I would not have stayed in India with him. Happy new year.
